NCWHS’ Suffrage Lesson Plans for grades 5-8 use NVWT

The National Collaborative for Women’s History Sites has created a free five-day lesson plan to give students a working knowledge of the history of women’s suffrage, the many groups of people that fought for suffrage, and to introduce them to the National Votes for Women Trail’s interactive map and research resource. While designed for grades 5-8, it could easily be adapted for a broader range of grades, and knowledge of our interactive map is valuable to all. Please share this information widely. History of Equal Rights (HER) Grant Program
Coming Soon FY2023

The goal of the History of Equal Rights grant program is to preserve and protect sites associated with efforts to achieve equal rights. The History of Equal Rights grants are not limited to any specific group and are intended to include the broadest possible interpretation of equal rights for any American. This program funds physical preservation work and pre-preservation planning activities for sites that are listed in or determined eligible for the National Register of Historic Places or as a National Historic Landmark. Applications are anticipated to open in the Spring of 2023.
