University Partner Details:

What Does the National Women’s History Alliance Request?

University partnership participation includes a $500 sponsorship contribution supporting the national 2027 Women’s History Month campaign and educational outreach initiatives.

Participating universities are asked to:

  • Sponsor one national honoree featured on the 2027 March of Icons educational centerfold calendar celebrating women in business, finance, labor, entrepreneurship, economics, and leadership.
  • Partner with the National Women’s History Alliance and St. John’s University Catalyst Project to spotlight one of thirty nationally recognized icons assigned to a specific date during March 2027.
  • Share a digital tribute to your sponsored icon on the assigned recognition date using Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and/or TikTok with the campaign hashtags #MarchOfIcons and #NWHA2027.
  • NWHA will research and approve final 30 features icons. When a featured icon has a direct university connection — including alma mater ties, faculty affiliation, archival connection, or regional significance — that institution will be offered sponsorship priority before opportunities are extended to other universities.
  • Participate in a nationwide International Women’s Day (March 8) celebration by honoring a local woman leader connected to your campus or community whose work reflects Financial Literacy, Liberation, and Leadership.

Suggested local honorees may include:

  • Business or economics faculty
  • University financial officers
  • Distinguished alumnae entrepreneurs
  • Regional business and civic leaders
  • Historic women connected to your institution or region

Universities are encouraged to involve students, faculty, alumni, and staff in researching and nominating local icons. Participating institutions selecting a local honoree by November 1, 2026 will have their honoree featured alongside their university name on the campaign sponsor page.
