Pennsylvania

In-Person & Virtual

Historical interpreter, educator, actress, and author bringing iconic women of history vividly to life through transformative, fully embodied performance.

Dr. Daisy Nelson Century is a nationally acclaimed historical interpreter, educator, actress, and author who brings history alive through powerful, fully costumed portrayals of influential women across time and culture. Performing both in person and virtually, her presentations typically range from 50 minutes to one hour and twenty minutes and trace each woman’s life from birth through legacy. Audiences don’t just learn history—they experience it unfolding before their eyes. Her repertoire includes portrayals of Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Bessie Coleman, Madam C.J. Walker, Mary Fields, Phillis Wheatley, Hatshepsut, and Cathy Williams, exploring themes such as abolition, women’s suffrage, civil rights, entrepreneurship, military history, aviation, the Wild West, and ancient leadership. Programs are appropriate for audiences from grade three through adults and are available nationwide and internationally. In addition to her performance work, Dr. Century is the author of books for both adults and children and is available for book clubs, signings, schools, conferences, community events, media appearances, and special cultural programs, including Juneteenth, Kwanzaa, and history-and-STEM summer camps.
